"Wine is a space of freedom. I produce elegant, authentic wines, where balance and freshness accompany concentration and power."
FLORIAN MATHIEU
Native son of Provence, Florian Mathieu produces beautiful Côtes du Rhône and rosé that present the best of the regions.
The Rhône valley vineyard stretches on both sides of the Rhône, from Vienne in the north to the south of Avignon and in a total of 1317 municipalities. It is the second largest vineyard after the Bordeaux region. It covers six departments: Rhône, Loire, Ardèche and Gard, on the right bank of the Rhône, Drôme and Vaucluse, on the left bank.
The Provence vineyard extends from the south of Avignon to Nice, over most of Provence. There are four régional appellations: Côtes de Provence, Coteaux du Varois, Coteaux d’aix en Provence and Coteaux du Pierrevert.
Florian Mathieu's vines are situated on a clay and calcareous ground with a lot of rocks (calcite, quartz and sandstone), and grapes are picked by hand at perfect maturity and ripeness.
This year sees the addition of a third bottling, Le chant de Naïades, capturing the elegance and savoury texture of Provence while offering superb value.
